My work as Instructor at Abrakadoodle Art studio for kids previously has indeed given me added inspiration to my designs, use of colours and textures. The exposure to various artists was indeed inspirational. Though still very much an amateur, painting has provided another avenue of expression for me apart from music and crafts. It has also given me ideas to my craftwork from time to time. Here are some of my free time paintings inspired by Charlotte Derain known for her African stick figures, Natasha Wescoat who is famous for her whimsical trees as well as impressionists artists such as Renoir and Monet. I wish I have time to do more as is so therapeutic.
Spring Time is particular special to me because that was done by Ethan, Wilson and I. The use of different techniques was interesting to my 5 year old. He wasn't too keen on dipping his fingers into Acrylic at first but seeing the effect it creates, he got more enthusiastic. But I think the part Ethan enjoyed most was the upward brushstrokes to create the effect of the grass. He did a great job!
